Philippine Airlines Increases Vancouver–Manila to Daily Nonstop Service
Philippine Airlines has increased Vancouver–Manila nonstop service to 7 days a week from April 1, 2026, adding capacity ahead of the summer peak travel season for Filipino-Canadians.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) upgraded the Vancouver–Manila (YVR–MNL) nonstop route to daily service effective April 1, 2026. Previously operating 5× weekly, the additional frequencies were introduced ahead of the summer peak period — the busiest season for Vancouver's large Filipino-Canadian community.
New Schedule Details
- Route: Vancouver (YVR) → Manila Ninoy Aquino (MNL) — nonstop
- Frequency: Daily (7 flights per week), effective April 1, 2026
- Flight time: approximately 12.5 hours westbound, 14 hours eastbound
- Aircraft: Airbus A350-900 (2 class: Business and Economy)
- Business class: Fully flat lie-flat seats (1-2-1 layout in premium cabin)
Impact on Fares
The additional capacity has already softened summer fares on this route. Economy round-trip prices from Vancouver to Manila for June–August 2026 are running CAD $950–$1,150, approximately 8–12% below the same period in 2025. Business class is available from CAD $3,400 round trip.
Philippine Airlines offers 2×23kg checked baggage allowance in economy on this route — the most generous of any carrier on the YVR–MNL corridor, making it especially popular for balikbayan travellers carrying goods and gifts.
Passengers travelling from Toronto or other Canadian cities can connect to the Vancouver departure via Air Canada or WestJet, with Philippine Airlines' through-ticketing available on select itineraries.
