Air India Expands Toronto–Delhi to Daily Nonstop Service from April 2026

Air India has upgraded the Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Delhi Indira Gandhi (DEL) nonstop route to daily service effective April 1, 2026. The airline previously operated 4–5× weekly on this route, and the move to daily brings new competitive pressure against Air Canada's own daily YYZ–DEL nonstop on the same corridor.

Fare Impact

The capacity addition has been gradual in its effect on fares, but by mid-March advance economy fares to Delhi for April–June were running approximately 7–10% below the same window in 2025. The nonstop economy fare floor from Toronto to Delhi now sits around CAD $950–$1,050 when booked 12+ weeks ahead.

Business class (Air India Club) remains the most price-competitive nonstop business class product on this corridor, with advance fares holding at CAD $3,000–$3,500 round trip — below Air Canada's Signature Class pricing by approximately CAD $800–$1,200.

The daily frequency is also good news for travellers whose trips are disrupted — reaccommodation to the next available nonstop now requires only a 24-hour wait rather than potentially 2–3 days.
